Don’t limit yourself here. Smart technology flexability is awesome and if you don’t want to utilize these features then don’t. But at least you have them. With that said, Samsung un60es6100 would be an excellent choice at bestbuy for $ 1499. Go to cnet,avforum and home thearter magazine for more info and comparison to other displays. Read both the tech and consumer reviews.

RCA used to make one that had a dynamic sound control – but I haven’t seen that feature in any modern TV.


However, you can buy a plug-in box that does the job for you.
