Question of fixdaback : Why is my new LED television not getting a signal?

I have Dish Network and the coaxial cable I am attaching the new tv to runs off of a 3 way splitter off of a dual receiver. I did have my old set hooked up to the same coax with no problems and I have hooked it back up and it works. I ran through the auto scan on the new tv but still am getting no signal no matter whether I have the setting on “TV” or “AV”. Any suggestions?

    Answer by Corvato
normally you don’t hook satellite tuners to the coax port… that is generally used for cable or antenna

I would suggest attaching it to a HDMI port, which will also give you a better signal.
