Question of michael : What is the best TV/Monitor for gaming?


I’m getting a next gen console so i need a new tv. I haven’t bought a new tv in years and the TVs i have now don’t have HDMI. So i’m looking for a min of 60fps and 1080p (BUT UNDER $ 500.00). Nothing crazy, under 45in and I don’t want it to be a “smart tv” or have 3D I don’t need that, and something good to watch sport on too, that would be nice. Something for a bed room.

I regret to inform you, but the best tv for you is the Panasonic S60. Smallest size it comes in is 50″. It is also Smart, but in the most basic sense. Also it goes for $ 700. Here are the reasons why it is the best for you:


The picture quality is absolutely phenomenal (worth much more than what you pay, and is much cheaper than any other tv of its caliber in this price range); its picture quality gets even better in a bedroom (since they are usually dim). It does not suffer from motion-blur which LEDs and LCDs do suffer from. Finally it has very little game-play lag. The only tv that has even less lag is the Sony W900a or W802a which go close to $ 2,000 or more. Yes it is 1080p as well. Luckily, it does not have 3D. Also, a 50″ tv is actually perfect for a typical bedroom layout.


For anything cheaper or smaller, there is no better option. Because they will either look very poorly in a bedroom, not have full 1080p, cost more, be too small, have a lot of lag, or have a just plain crappy picture. Start saving your money, or get yourself a Best Buy credit card for the financing options.
