Question of Jack-of-No-Trades : Can I use my laptop as a DVR without a tuner card?

Is there a way to do this wirelessly, through the internet? Or does anybody recommend a certain software?

Without a tuner of some sort, how exactly are you going to record the TV signal?

There is no “wireless computer TV” signal/channel.

You either need a cable or satellite receiver (most of which now include a DVR already) or an antenna (which means your laptop still needs some form of “video input” hardware in the form of a tuner or video capture.)
