No, the PS2 does not support HDMI. The PS2 slim is older than HDMI. It’s not even capable of HD resolutions!

Your TV should come with A/V jacks (the red/white/yellow ones). If it doesn’t come with those it is not deserving of the title “TV”.

However, the PS3 does support full 1080p HD. Consider getting one. They even come with Blu-Ray Disc players, so you can play 1080p Blu-Ray movies, straight from your PS3!

HOWEVER, if you get a PS3 it may not play PS2 games. Let me explain:

• 60 GB (not in production) − hardware support

• 20 GB (not in production) − hardware support

• 40 GB (not in production) − NO compatibility

• 80 GB old (not in production) − software emulation

• 80 GB new − NO compatibility

• 160 GB limited edition − NO compatibility
